Our Independence

CPG does not manage assets or manufacture products for sale to its clients anywhere in the world.  As such we are one of the very few truly independent global providers of investment consulting services.

Unlike our competitors, CPG does not issue, distribute or underwrite its own investment funds or securities, does not trade as principal and does not act as a market maker in securities.

In making our “independence” statement we have applied the following eight point test.  We would recommend you apply this test to any advisor who makes a similar claim of independence.

  1. Ownership and/or control of the advisor is not held by a product manufacturer.

  2. Transparent advisory fees that are billed and paid by the client directly. Not paid in the form of an upfront commission or ongoing basis point trail.

  3. Staff remuneration arrangements are aligned with the interests of clients and not based on the volume of product sold.

  4. Recommended Products are drawn from the whole market and are not restricted to a small number of manufacturers.

  5. Advisor does not issue, distribute or underwrite investment products.

  6. Advisor does not act as a market maker in securities.

  7. Advisor does not trade as principal in securities.

  8. Advisor is not influenced or controlled by any product provider.

Our Team

CPG has an experienced team of investment specialist and analysts dedicated to providing professional and value adding advice to clients.

To ensure that the number and quality of staff remains appropriate to the number of clients, we limit the number of major clients that each senior consultant is responsible for.

The CPG consulting team consists of industry qualified consultants with an extensive background in managed funds research and/or portfolio management and asset consulting.

Our primary focus is on the provision of a quality service, and our consulting model is based on our consultants working closely with each of our clients.
